Wiki

I enjoyed having a browse around the wikies. I think they are a great collaborative tool. I could see them working well in the library industry, for example, here at Darebin we could have all of our extra information (local internet cafes, post offfices etc...) on a wiki and we could update new contacts. We could also have a wiki for our customers with reviews and recommendations of books, CDs and DVDs. I like the fact that anyone can change information on a wiki, but at the same time it does create issues around the reliability of the information. Wikipedia is a good example. There seems to be lots of school students using it as a research tool when a lot of the infopramtion on there is either incorrect or misleading. Hmmmm.
